Hope for divorced

Keywords: Religion / Belief

IN RESPONSE to Cardinal Hume. March 27. on the indissolubility of marriage. I would like to add my wholehearted encouragemeot to divorced and remarried Christians not to lose hope. Do continue to take a full part in

the life of the Church including membership of Church groups or societies and parish councils: also, of course, do not be intimidated away from freely receiving communion.

There is only one form of mem bership of the church — full membership — for Pope and peasant alike and no one is going to take that membership away. We are all sinners and no groups within the church should claim to be so righteous as to sit in judgement over others. The people of God in pilgrimage on earth is a motley multitude pledged to -caring for and forgiving each other and accepting one ;Another's integrity.
