—Paul Claudel Paul Claude], the famous Catholic French writer and poet, has addressed a special message to Dr. Franz Josef Schoeningh, editor of the new series of the German Catholic monthly, Hochland.
Its first issue since the war is just off the press. " I greet the resurrected Hochland," writes Claude]. " I know how much German Catholics owed it in the past and I send all my best wishes for the future. I am not an enemy of Germany and desire with all my heart that she will show herself worthy of the great task which God holds in store for her."
This is believed to be the first message by a prominent French Catholic addressed to Germany since the war.
