Montreal's Tercentenary

Montreal, Canada's largest city, will begin the observance of her tercentenary next Wednesday, October 15.

The religious ceremonies in coonection with the anniversary will begin on Sunday, October 19, when Mgr. Joseph Charbonneau, Archbishop of Montreal, will officiate at a Pontifical Mass at historic Notre Dame church. The sermon will be preached by Mgr. Antoniutti, Apostolic Delegate to Canada and Newfoundland.

Mgr. Charbonneau has asked that in all the churches of the city that evening there be sermons recalling the religious beginnings of the present metropolis. 14e has asked that the tercentenary be observed in a spirit of great faith.
