Cat-echism

CasniNuNG the feline theme, from the States we have more evidence of catty nonsense, this time in festive guise. Last week Patricia Lynn Morrison, editor of the Catholic Chronicle, diocesan newspaper in Toledo. Ohio. entered a local restaurant, and upon browsing its craft corner, came across a nativity set in which all the figures, including Joseph, Mary and the Christ Child, were represented as cats.

Noticing how the nativity set was made in China, where many a "cutesy kitten" "winds up in the stew", Ms Morrison lamented how she has also seen many retailers offering a manger scene featuring snowmen, with nativity figures composed from teddy bears and mice.
