300 servers meet in Portsmouth

A procession of 300 altar servers with priests and parishioners walked through the streets of Winchester on Whit Monday afternoon.

The servers were the St. Stephen's Guild of Altar Servers in the Portsmouth diocese holding their annual rally.

Pontifical High Mass in the morning was celebrated by Bishop King. In the procession Mgr. Provost Dorran, Vicar General of the Portsmouth diocese, carried the Blessed Sacrament and later gave Benediction, which was presided over by the Bishop.

From the seven counties of the Northampton diocese members of the Catholic Women's League will go to Ipswich on Sunday, June 27, for their annual rally.
