Mother Francis Cabrini, an Italian who emigrated early in life to the United States, laundress of the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart, will be beatified on Sunday, November 13, in the Basilica of St. Peter, Rome.
R. She will be the first United States citizen to be beatified. It is only 21 years since she died, and many English people remember her stay in London.
Cardinal Mundelein, who knew her well, as also did the Pope, will celebrate the Mass of Beatification.
