Parish Press Defence

The Parish Press Defence Bureau, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, New Southgate, obtained cuttings from 21 London and Provincial daily newspapers which in the reports of Thanksgiving Sunday stated that the National Anthem was seldom sung in Catholic churches

A letter correcting the impression of disloy:Ilty given by this report was sent to each newspaper and was published by eight of them.

Fr. Joseph Sunn, the parish priest, told our representative that the bureau was of great use to him and had had over 100 letters published in local newspapers in the last 15 years.
