600 KNIGHTS OF CHRIST K S C. Annual Mass in Soho

"Christ is winning. make no mistake. Every year there are a million more Catholics whose prayers and deeds will advance the Peace of Christ in the Reign of Christ."

So said Mgr. V. Elwes, Provincial Chaplain, in his sermon to nearly 600 Westminster Knights of St. Columba at their annual Mass for deceased members last Sunday at St. Patrick's, Soho Square, W.

Taking his text from the Epistle, " Brethren, we are confident in the Lord Jesus," the preacher referred to the persecution of Catholics in Spain, Mexico, Russia and Germany, and appealed to the Knights present to strive to be Knights of heroic virtue—saints. He expressed his pleasure at the large attendance.

Solemn High Mass was offered by Fr. Mortimer. Prominent Knights present were Messrs. John J. Gibbons (Deputy Supreme Knight), Frank .1, Mildner (Supreme Chancellor), T. J. T. McMenemy (Director) and R. J. Cleaver (Provincial Grand Knight).
