Two thousand Gibraltar Catholics recently made a pilgrimage to the Chapel of Our Lady of Europe in the Convent of the Sisters of the Poor, in thanksgiving for the maintenance of peace. The pilgrims on their way to the chapel recited the rosary in English and Spanish. A Te Deum was chanted in the chapel.

One of Mexico's biggest newspapers, El Nacional, which has vigorously upheld the State persecution of the Church in Mexico, published on October 24 a violent attack on Hitler because of his persecution of Catholics and Protestants. But that is not all, the Fiihrer has further angered El Nacional by his abrogation of the rights of parents.

The Nationalist Government of Spain has given the charge of women's prisons to nuns, thus reverting to a pre-Republican practice.
