KOREA BOMBING SIR --Not all area bombing is unlawful. Some is

perfectly legitimate. It depends on the area itself, the contents of the area. and a number of other considerations, knowledge of which is usually confined to the men on the spot—the soldiers, not the newspaper correspondents or the subeditors who for reasons of space have to condense and headline the despatches.

Unless Mr. J. J. O'Connor has got information at first hand (own authoritative military sources, I suggest he refrains front assuming that the action of the United Nations Air Forces is unlawful.
