The Hackenthorpe juniors will cost £32,000

The Ministry of Education has approved the inclusion in the Derbyshire Education Committee's 1955-56 building programme of a £32,120 Catholic junior and infant school at Hackenthorpe, Derbyshire.

Hackenthorpe is a Sheffield housing estate which is territorially in Derbyshire and therefore in the Nottingham diocese. The parish priest, Fr. Peter McDonagh, lives in Sheffield, which is in the Leeds diocese.
