Aid for Cardinal Manning's home


Cotnbe Bank Convent School at Sevenoaks. Kent, run by thc Society of the Holy Child Jesus, has received a grant from the Ministry of Public Buildings and works towards the repairing and cleaning of ceilings and mouldings in the library and hall which are believed to be by Reuben Adam.

The grant was recommended by the Historic Buildings Council. Combe Rank, built in the eighteenth century by Robert Morris. was once oo ned by Cardinal Manning's lathe], and the future Cardinal lived there as a youug man.
