Tribute to Mother Teresa

THE PEACE Bridge, which crosses the Niagara River between western New York and Ontario, will be lit in blue and white – the colours of the habit of the Missionaries of Charity – on August 26 in honour of the centenary of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta’s birth.

Bishop Edward Kmiec of Buffalo had sought the lighting of the bridge after the owner of the Empire State Building denied a similar request.
