ROME.

Mgr. Lorenzo Peroei, Academician of Italy, has just completed forty years as director of the Sistine choir.

He was appointed to the post by Leo XIII after the brilliant success of his famous oratorio La Resurrezione di Cristo. The fortieth year of Mgr. Perosi's service will be commemorated on Low Sunday when the same oratorio will be performed in the large hall over St. Peter's fa├žade.

TO BE BROADCAST Mgr. Perosi himself will conduct the singers of the Sistine choir accompanied by the orchestra of the Italian Broadcasting Company, " Eiar." The Vatican and Italian broadcasting stations will transmit the performance.
