Ban These Czechoslovak Rosaries

NEW YORK.

A. U.S. trade union has complained to Francis Cardinal Spellman, Archbishop of New York, that U.S. Catholics are buying rosaries and othre religious jewellery imported from Communist dominated Czechoslovakia.

The Jewellery and Novelty Workers' Union appealed to the Cardinal to help it "correct the inconsistency of buying religious articles from a Government which has declared war on religion," pointing out that there was rising unemployment among U.S. jewellery workers.
