DUTCH JESUITS' CENTENARY

AMSTERDAM.

The Jesuit province of Holland is celebrating its centennial year. Until 1849 the Holland Jesuits were linked to the Belgian Jesuit at the Missio Ifollandica.

A hundred years ago Fr. Roothaan, a Dutchman and General of the Order, during the expulsion from Rome due to the revolution in lialy, visited the European provinces, established the province which today has 835 members, a mission in Middle Java, six colleges, and 12 parishes as well as seminaries and retreat houses.

They publish the weekly De Link.
