Britain Relies for Iron Ore on Bilbao

The British trade policy in Basque territory is laid down in Der Deutsche Yolkswin, Dr. Schacht's official news organ.

The writer of an article on military economics declares that the fall of Bilbao would be a serious blow to Britain, who relies largely on Basque iron ore for the carrying out of her rearmament programme.

Twenty-one per cent. of iron ore imports to Great Britain comes from Spain, the article points out. and three-quarters of this amount comes from mines around Bilbao.
