League Committee on Social Questions

The first meeting of the newly constituted Advisory Committee on Social Questions opened recently at Geneva. This committee is taking over the functions of two League of Nations committees, namely those of the Traffic in Women and of the Child Welfare Committee. Amongst the many problems with which the Committee is dealing are rehabilitation of adult prostitutes, age of criminal responsibility, and the recreational aspect of the cinematograph for young people.
