ATRIBUTE to the generosity and self sacrifice of C A T HO I. T C HERALD readers is paid by Fr. Patrick McGill of Kenya in a letter to the Editor.

On receiving a cheque for f2,000 from our readers, this Holy Ghost Father, who is fighting hard to save his schools in the heart of the Mau Mau terror country, says:

"I shall never forget the wonderful way in which your readers have responded to my cry for help.

"Their self-sacrifice and truly Christian generosity has been a very touching revelation of their goodness. and though T shall never be able to repay them, I shall remember them daily in my prayers."

Although the fund was closed some weeks ago gifts of money continue to arrive. The -total now collected is £2,689.
