I WAS surprised (September 30) to read a letter in your columns praising Mary Kenny on her anti-abortion stand and abusing the MP Gerry Adams because of his alleged reference to "Women's right to choose" (apparently to take the life of her child).
I remember seeing Gerry Adams on TV speaking to a member of the British Labour Party — a woman. She brought up the matter of introducing abortion in N Ireland and Gerry Adams rebuked her saying she did not understand the Irish outlook and abortion would not be welcomed or wanted in the six counties. I heard him.
