Hundreds of Goan seaman formed a guard of honour and provided orchestral music when Mgr. Rudderham, Bishop of Clifton. visited Tilbury in the course of his 1.000 mile tour of the major ports of England and Wales, which included London and Southampton.

Accompanied by Fr. More O'Ferrail. national secretary of the Apostleship of the Sea, the Bishop was entertained at Tilbury by the P. & 0. Co., on the "Himalaya," and hoarded four of their liners it is most unusual for so many ships of this type to he in port together.

The Cunard Shipping Company gave luncheon on the " Queen Elizabeth " at Southampton, and a conducted tour of the ship followed, including parts of the ship which have not been shown to visitors for the past three years.

The largest United States ship. "America." was also inspected and finally the Bishop was entertained by the Union-Castle Line on the "Carnarvon Castle."
