THERE is erne. hope for those of you who have already broken your Lenten fasts.
Dr Bill Bright, the American evangelist, last week won the £700,000 Templeton Prize for Progress in Religion, and says the money will be used to train lay and clergy in "the lost discipline" of fasting.
"To the uninitiated, fasting may seem like a waste of time," said the 74-year-old founder of the Campus Crusade for Christ. "But it is incredibly liberating. It is the most tremendous of all disciplines."
Reaching his faithful through the internet, billboard advertisements, his videos and 40 ministries throughout 165 countries, Dr Bright recommends fasting by drinking water, vegetable and fruit juices.
