Divorce and Catholics correction

LAST WEEK WE WROTE: "As Church teaching stands, separated Catholics are entitled to receive Communion but divorced Catholics are forbidden from doing so, unless they receive an annulment."

This is incorrect. But, as we later correctly stated: "According to Canon Law, divorce is not an impediment in itself to receiving Communion. What does disqualify you is an invalid remarriage (ie if your first marriage is not annulled, if you marry a Protestant in a Protestant church without permission, if you marry in a registry office, if you are living in sin)." We apologise for the contradiction and for any confusion caused to our readers by the article.
