Roll to your musket

From Dr Catherine Moloney

SIR The moral dilemma posed by Quentin de la Becloyere (Charterhouse, May 12 and May 26) over the past couple of weeks is given modern relevance by the words of Rudyard Kipling:

If you're wounded and lie on Afghanistan's plains,

and the women come out to cut up the remains;

Then, roll to your musket and blow out your brains.

And go to yer Gawd, like a soldier.

But like a Christian?

Yours faithfully, CATHERINE MOLONEY Liverpool
