The Pope's Guest

Mrs. Jacqueline Kennedy, wife of the U.S. President, was on Sunday received in audience by Pope John. Mrs. Kennedy, who was accompanied by Mgr. O'Connor, Rector of the Pontifical North American College, spoke to the Pope in his private library for about half an hour. Mrs. Kennedy afterwards called on Cardinal Cicognani, now Papal Secretary of State but who was formerly Apostolic Delegate to the United States. Mrs. Kennedy's audience with Pope John was the fourth accorded to a member of the Kennedy family in recent months.
