DIOCESAN BANKER A DIOCESAN plan for acting as a central banker

for all parishes operating in Shrewsbury was explained by Mgr. Bernard Bell, Vicar Capitular. " Those parishes lucky enough so far to have no debt are asked and encouraged to place funds for investment in the Development Fund at a low rate of interest. Other parishes which have borrowed money are asked to pay their same

w lo rate of interest promptly, and to pay off their instalments of debt as early as they can."

Mgr. Bell appealed for donations to this fund in order to lower the interest rates paid by the parishes benefiting from the fund.
