Youth centre to close in summer

THE SACRED Heart Fathers have announced the closure of a popular retreat centre for young people.

The congregation said that Dehon House in Little Sutton, South Wirral, would close in the summer due to a shortage of personnel.

In a statement, the Sacred Heart Fathers said they wished to convey their "appreciation and thanks" to those who have worked at the centre since it was founded in 1980.

They said they hoped that another group might step in to take over the running of the house and the youth ministry.

Interested parties are invited to contact the Rev P. Harriett SCJ, Dehon House, Welsh Road, Little Sutton, Ellesmere Port, CH66 4QP.
