New hostel for 1,000 pilgrims

The largest pilgrim's hostel yet built in Rome — it accommodates 1.000 persons--was opened on Sunday by Cardinal Micara.

Named after St. Christopher. it has six separate wings. Five have bedrooms and the sixth has reception, public and dining rooms.

Six smaller hostels already exist and more are being built.
