Bishop Halsall, whose term of office as Vicar Capitular of the Liverpool archdiociae ends on Sunday, will then take up residence at SS. Peter and Paul's Church, Great Crosby.
The Bishop is thus returning to a district with which he is very familiar. His first appointment in the archdiocese after returning from Rome in the early 1930's was as chaplain to Park House, Waterloo.
After serving in the Westminster archdiocese for several years and then as vice-rector of the Bede College in Rome, he returned to Park House on his appointment as Auxiliary Bishop. As Vicar Capitular he resided at Archbishop's House.
