GUILD GIVES £7,500 TO POOR PARISHES

The burnt out Church of the Sacred Heart at Morriston, Glamorgan, is among many poor parishes which will this sear receive a grant from the Extension Fund of the Guild of Our Lady of Ransom.

Dioceses which will benefit from this year's total of £7,500 include Brentwood, Cardiff, Clifton, Lancaster, Menevia. Northampton, Nottingham, Plymouth, Portsmouth, Shrewsbury, and the Westminster Travelling Mission.

During the year £380 has been

given to priests in particularly needy

places in stipends for Masses for the forgotten dead.
