FARR, it Plymouth businessman who followed a recipe of his Mayflower ancestors and made and sent vivo 4-1h. Thanksgiving Day cakes to Cardinal Spellman, has had a letter o[ thanks from thy New 'fork archbishop.

Cardinal Spellman wrote: "We did not take up your . suggestion of auctioning the cakes for charity but, instead, the entire household here enjoyed them on Thanksgiving Day".

Captain Farr said at his home, Mayflower House, Plymouth: "This is a feller I shall always treasure, and esery year I will send His Eminence some Thanksgh ing Day cakes."
