Extensions to Cheshire Home

A £25,000 extension to Mayfield House, Edinburgh, the first Cheshire Home in Scotland, is to he started in March next year. It his hoped that work will begin on March 15—the commencement of Red Feather Week, the annual appeal on behalf of Mayfield House.

Some £10,000, it was reported at the annual meeting. had already been raised towards the cost of the extensions. leaving a balance of i15,000 stilt to be found.

The extensions will provide for a

large sitting-room, o single rooms for residents. a three-bedded room and new offices.

Mayfield House, in Holy Cross parish, was ripened just over four years ago, and the second Cheshire Home in Scotland, at Carnsalloch, near Dumfries, followed two years later.
