Parish priest h4 Christmas donor

A South London priest has launched a campaign to provide Christmas fare for old people living in his area. Fr. Charles Byrne, parish priest of St. Anne's, Kennington Lane, S.E.11. has asked parishioners of all faiths to list names and addresses of needy people living on their own.

So far he has nearly 50 names and plans to send parcels of food to each. "There arc thousands of people who could be helped like this all over the country", he said. We are doing what we can but the size of each parcel depends entirely on the amount of food sent in."
