The solemn inauguration of Rheims Cathedral will take place with full ceremony on July 10. The restoration of the Cathedral was celebrated in October,
1937n.
On Saturday, July 9, in the evening, ceremonies and performances will take place in front of the Cathedral which is
to be flood-lit. During the evening Cardinal Suhard, Archbishop of Rheims, will be presented with a replica of the standard carried by St. Joan of Arc at the consecration of Charles VII as King of France. The standard is the gift of English Catholics.
