Demographic Survey

Sir,-You were good enough recently to publish a letter regarding the investigation being made by the Newman Association Demographic Survey into the age distribution of pupils at Catholic schools.

The majority of our cards have been returned and it is evident that the information they contain is of great value. At the same time as expressing most grateful thanks to the head teachers who have sent theta in I would like to appeal very strongly to those who have not yet returned the cards to do so as soon as possible. The value of the results of the investigation will be impaired if returns are not given for all Catholic schools and I should be roost grateful it the Survey could be spared the delay and expense involved in making individual applications, by one means or another. for the return of outstanding cards.

Any head teached who has not received a card is asked to write to me.

R. G. Barley. Chairman, Education Committee, Newman Demographic Survey.
