Anglican liaison and observers

THE Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr. Ramsey, has appointed an associate secretary to the Church of England Council on Foreign Relations who will also serve as his representative for liaison purposes in Rome.

He is the Rev. John Findlow, who has been serving as a chaplain to British embassies in Europe, and is currently stationed in Athens. He takes up his new appointment in January, and will continue to serve on the Church of England's Catholic Relations Commission.

Dr. Findlow succeeds Canon Bernard Pawley, now acting as liaison representative for the Archbishops of Canterbury and York in Rome. Canon Pawley will stay there for the third session of the Council with the official Anglican observers. At the Council this time the Church of England's representatives will be Dr. Moorman, Bishop of Ripon; and the Rev. Howard Root, dean of Emmanuel College, Carnbri dge.
