Mission for the Non-Christians

The Catholic Missionary Society will this month start a new type of mission in Dunstable. During the parish mission, from September 27-October 11, they will ask parishioners to contact non-Christians and invite them to a mission for non-Christians only in November.

The aim is to go back to the very foundations of Christianity and to help non-Christians form their own views about religion — not necessarily about Catholicism. After this mission, which ends on November 15, three of the priests will go to Germany at the invitation of Fr. Patrick Tobin, Senior Chaplain to the Forces, to give a series of one-day-missions in 11 army bases. They will meet about 1,300 Catholic soldiers.
