Indian President at the Congress

India's President Radhakrishnan will most probably be present at the opening of the Bombay Eucharistic Congress in November. Cardinal Gracias extended the invitation recently when he called in person at the Presidential palace in New Delhi.

Dr. Raclhakrishnan, who attended the Bombay Marian Congress in 1954, may decide to speak at the Eucharistic Congress. It is thought likely that he will pick up the Congress theme: Walk in the ways of love.

Cardinal Gracias has also extended invitations to a number of other Indian government ministers. who have co-operated with great interest and generosity in the Congress preparations, in expediting visas and import arrangements, and in easing the problems of accommodation, transport,, broadcasting and postal communications.
