From Our Own Correspondent
DUBLIN Archbishop Conway of Armagh revealed this week that the liturgical changes planned by the Council would take effect here in "a matter of a few months.
"Inevitably, of course", Dr. Conway added. "it will take a little time to prepare for these changes. to have texts printed and people instructed in the changes. The bishops are, I feel, confident that the Trish people as a whole will welcome changes and will do all in their power to see that they are the means Of increasing our devotion to and participation in the Mass." Dr. Conway was speaking at Dublin Airport before he left — with 40 other bishops, including 17 members of the Irish hierarchy
f or Rome and the Vatican Council. A further group of hishaps left on the same day from Cork Airport.
The new measures arc the subject of decisions taken by the bishops at their meeting in June and forwarded at that time to the Holy See for approval.
