Polish Pilgrims To Cumberland Shrine

Poles front neighbouring parishes and from Moota Hostel made a pilgrimage to the shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes at St. Mary's Cleator, Cumberland. on Sunday last.

Led by Fr. A. Jankowski, chaplain to the Poles in the area, the pilgrimage was in honour of the feast of the Assumption and in memory of the " Miracle of the Vistula."

Special prayers were offered for the deliverance of Poland from the power of the Communists, and hymns were rendered by the Polish Choir of Motta.
