Brown marks Christmas

GORDON BROWN hosted a Christian celebration of Christmas at Downing Street on Monday.

The cross-denominational event featured carols led by a Salvation Army band.

Mr Brown spoke of Christmas as a time to remember our responsibility for the needy.

The event concluded with a prayer, in English and Welsh, by Bishop Edwin Regan of Wrexham.
