DUCKETT'S, the bookshop which has supplied the book needs of generations of London Catholics, closes down as a religious bookshop on March 1. It will keep a selection of religious books for customers wishing to place orders but will function as a general bookshop.
But the proprietors, Claude Gill Books are to set up a comprehensive religious hook centre at their Oxford Street premises near Marble Arch where Catholic book needs will be catered for. There are to be no redundancies among Duckett's staff.
