(A)Spire to Be or Not to Be

Catholic France is wondering whether the Paris Exhibition will or will not be dominated by a spire, symbolic of the Church.

The great Catholic pavilion was planned with a dominating spire to the exhibition church. But so fa•r the money to pay for it has not been forthcoming.

At the time of writing 550,000 francs are needed if the full plan is to be undertaken. Sufficient money has been subscribed for the rest of the pavihoo.
