Canonical Penalties Lifted
The Bishop of Springfield imposed canonical penalties on Fr. Orlemanski on the latter's return front the U.S.S.R. These penalties, imposed because of the priest's failure to obtain permission to ecave his parish, involved his being forbidden to say Mass.
On receiving a letter of apology from Fr. Orlemanski, the Bishop lifted the penalties.
In his letter Fr. Orlemanski is reported as having saia : "It is now my fixed purpose and promise to cease and separate myself from all activities which are not in accord' with the rule and mind of the Catholic Church,"
