WESTMINSTER REQUIEM FOR FALLEN DEFENDERS

On May 00. on the anniversary of the German invasion of Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, a memorial service was held at Westminster Cathedral in memory of the Belgians and Luxembourgers who died for their country.

Mgr. Myers, Bishop of Lamus, celebrated the Mass. assisted by the Bele gian priests, the Rev. Frs. De Vidts. Gillard and Dantinne, Mgr. Griffin, Archbishop of Westminster. giving the Absolutions. Neat to the catafalque, covered with the Belaian and Luxembourg flags, were H.H. the Prince of Luxembourg and the representatives of the Belgian and luxembourg Governments.

Two hundred delegates have now been registered foi the annual conference of the C.Y.M.S Le) be held at Whitehaven. during Whitsuntide.

Sixty Catholic mlislonaries, including the Bishop of Alexishafen, Dr Francis Wolf, have been killed in New Guinea. it was announced in Sydney this week. Seventy-seven others have not yet been accounted for.
