Tyburn featured in best religious programme

MOTHER Edmund Campion of Tyburn Convent writes: "Elizabeth Bano's TV and Radio column 'Prayer amid the noise of Marble Arch' last year 16 January began 'Prayer was the theme of last Sunday's Encounter (2pm ITV) and it was one of the best religious programmes I have ever seen'".

"I thought it might interest you to know that this programme won the year's award from the Sandford St Martin Trust for the best Religious Broadcasting

Programme. This is a Church of England Trust and the award was presented at Lambeth Palace. The Producer is a Czech Catholic Jan Kaplan, and a real artist. He took no end of time and trouble over the filming here and was anxious to capture the atmosphere as Rabbi Blue insisted he must."

"A little more of Tyburn appeared in this same series at 2pm on Sunday March 20 entitled 'They died with a Prayer'."
