Catholic Bishops In Protestant Cathedral

From a Correspondent The Catholic Episcopate of Holland were present in the Protestant Cathedral of St. Martin in Utrecht on the occasion of the festivities for the centenary of St. Willbrord, Apostle of the Frisians and first Bishop of Utrecht. (An earlier report in the CATHOLIC HERALD suggested that this did not take place).

Better Understanding

This celebration, at which Anglican Bishops were also present, did not, however, have the character of a religious celebration in any sense, but was a manifestation of the growing better understanding between Catholics and Protestants in Holland, united around the great English missionary, to whom Holland owes the Christian faith.

On the same day a Pontifical High Mass was celebrated in St. Catherine's Catholic Cathedral by the Archbishop of Utrecht.
