AUXILIARY APPOINTED TO LANCASTER

The appointment of the Rev. Thomas Bernard Pearson, curate, and parish priest since 1944, of St. Cuthbert's, Blackpool. as auxiliary Bishop to Mgr. Flynn, Bishop of Lancaster, was announced on Saturday last.

Mgr. Pearson, who is 42, has been prominent in youth work and was the principal organiser of the Catholic Youth Rally at Blackpool in 1946. He is also an expert on education.

Mgr. Pearson will be Consecrated by Archbishop Godfrey. Apostolic Delegate. on Monday, July 25, in the Cathedral Church of St. Peter's, Lancaster.
