The foundation stones of three churches are being laid; three new churches opened; two new chapels opened, one hostel opened, one school opened and one church hall opened: • Cardinal Godfrey will lay the foundation stone of a new church at BUSHEY, Herts, on Saturday afternoon (tomorrow).

Bishop Ellis of Nottingham will open the new church of St. Joseph at RETFORD, today, the feast of St. Joseph the Worker, and will lay the foundation stone of Holy Cross church, HUCKNALL, Notts, on Sunday.

Bishop Parker of Northampton will bless the new church of St. Helen at HOVETON, Notts, on Sunday.

Bishop Cowderoy of Southwark will bless the new chapel of the Holy Ghost Fathers at BICKLEY, tomorrow (Saturday). Next Friday, May 8, the Bishop will assist at Mass and bless the new church at BEXLEY HEATH.

Bishop Dwyer of Leeds will open a Catholic Women's League Hostel at SHEFFIELD on Monday.

Last Monday Bishop Wall laid the foundation stone of the new church of St. Alban, ELM PARK.

Bishop Murphy of Shrewsbury on Tuesday presided at the opening of a new chapel at the Sacred Heart College, WOODCOTE HALL, NEWPORT, Salop.

On Tuesday Bishop Brunner of Middlesbrough officially opened St. Pius X school, BERWICK HILLS, MIDDLESBROUGH.

Bishop Rudderham of Clifton on Saturday last opened a new church hall for St. Gregory's parish, SALISBURY.
