Cinema-goers see Sign of the Cross

AS most cinemagoers have ' seen for themselves this week on the newsreels, Jack Holden, who won the marathon race (26 miles 385 yards) for the fourth year in succession in Brussels last week. crossed himself as he broke through the tapes at the winning post. Jack is a Catholic.

He is 43, a worker on a Staffordshire estate, and livcs in Bilston, Staffs. His best performance in the marathon ' was 2 hrs. 35 mins. 3.4 secs. lie is also holder of the Britiah Empire marathon championship which he won in New Zealand in February of this year.
